Reviewing G/L Direct Setup Exceptions
The G/L Direct - Setup Exceptions window displays exception information resulting from conditions that can occur after changing chart of accounts or tax codes setup information in a return that has already been activated for G/L Direct processing.
For step-by-step instructions for the creation of this report and more information about circumstances that can lead to setup exceptions, see Setting up G/L Direct.
Exception Condition | Reaction |
---|---|
One or more accounts with tax code assignments have no assignments in the selected custom chart of accounts. | You must correct the omissions in the custom chart of accounts to complete the conversion. |
One or more accounts referenced in journal entries are not included in the selected custom chart of accounts. | You must remove the references to complete the conversion. |
One or more user-defined tax codes referenced in journal entries are not included in the selected tax codes set. | You must remove the references to complete the conversion. |
One or more user-defined tax codes assigned to accounts are not included in the selected tax codes set. |
If you continue the conversion, the system automatically converts to the selected tax codes set. The system will remove the omitted user-defined tax codes from any tax code assignments to accounts. Example: Account 1234-A is assigned tax code 10357.0005 and the tax code is not in the selected tax codes set. When the system converts to the selected tax codes set, tax code 10357.0005 is removed from the tax code cell for account 1234-A and the account will not have an assigned tax code. If the assigned tax code applies to entity/property numbers, the account's entity/property number is also removed. |
